Meet Dr. Rinku V. Mehta
Dr. Rinku Mehta is the Medical Director of the Frisco Institute for Reproductive Medicine in Frisco, TX. She is board certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and has helped hundreds of patients successfully start their families since 2003. Assisting patients to realize their dreams of building a family is a source of great fulfillment for her. Having made the fertility journey herself, Dr. Mehta understands the emotional rollercoaster and anxiety that dealing with infertility brings to many couples. She is committed to providing the most personal, individualized care and sees her patients at every visit, performing all sonograms and procedures herself.
Dr. Mehta has actively pursued research in embryo development and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), published several articles in leading journals, and is currently co-authoring a book chapter. She has previously held academic appointments at University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston and University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Mehta serves as a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Texas Medical Association, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society.

At The Institute, Dr. Mehta is proud to offer a variety of reproduction medical services to families of the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area and beyond. Dr. Mehta’s areas of special interest include polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), obesity, fertility preservation, ovarian aging, and hysteroscopic surgery. She offers the following treatments: ovulation induction, IUI, reproductive surgery (laparoscopy and hysteroscopy), IVF, ICSI, oocyte (egg) cryopreservation, PGD, and third-party reproduction with donor egg, donor sperm, and surrogacy.
Education & Training
Dr. Mehta graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of North Texas in Denton, TX and then went on to medical school at the University of Texas in Galveston, TX where she graduated with honors. She was also selected for membership in the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
While in medical school, she won several awards, tutored fellow students in neuroscience, and was the President of Phi Rho Sigma Medical Fraternity. Dr. Mehta also spent time volunteering at a local charity and medical clinic. She completed her OBGYN residency at the University of Texas at Galveston followed by subspecialty fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of California San Diego, which is renowned for its research in reproductive biology.
