Marius Meintjes, Ph.D., H.C.L.D.
President & CEO
In 2008, Dr. Meintjes was one of the founding members of the Frisco Institute of Reproductive Medicine. Dr. Meintjes wanted the flexibility to address IVF patient’s unique needs on a case-by-case basis and continue to explore rapidly expanding technology within an IVF lab. The Frisco Institute for Reproductive Medicine is a freestanding facility, solely dedicated to the diagnosis and advanced treatment of infertility.
Dr. Meintjes is board certified as a high complexity laboratory director, a human embryology laboratory director, a technical supervisor and a clinical consultant through the American Board of Bioanalysts. Currently, he is one of only three embryologists in the United States that are also certified as a senior clinical embryologist by the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology.
Dr. Meintjes serves as an advisor for numerous national and international fertility companies. In vitro fertilization (IVF) laboratories under his direction consistently rate among the best in the U.S. Dr. Meintjes is frequently featured as a national and international speaker on in vitro laboratory excellence and design, as well as on various aspects of the optimization of assisted reproduction procedures and outcomes. He has published many book chapters and papers on these topics in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
In his spare time, Dr. Meintjes enjoys spending time with his family, collecting butterflies, flying an old airplane and practicing veterinary medicine (reproduction, of course).
